Bio

Samantha Love is a psychometrist at OpenWorld Psychology and a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Saybrook University. She provides psychological assessment services with a focus on autism, ADHD, and neurodevelopmental evaluations, bringing a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive approach to her work.

Before beginning her doctoral training, Samantha worked for more than a decade in special education as both a teacher and educational consultant, helping families navigate IEPs, evaluations, and school-based supports. This background gives her a unique perspective on translating assessment findings into practical, actionable recommendations.

She values a collaborative approach and is committed to making psychological services accessible and affirming for neurodivergent and disabled clients.

Assessment Experience

Samantha has advanced training in psychological assessment, including the ADOS-2 (Introductory Clinical and Toddler Module), and has completed training through the Autism Center of Excellence (COE). She holds certification as an Advanced Certified Autism Specialist and participates in ongoing professional development through Cornell-Weill's IDEA and GAIN Networks.

Her assessment work emphasizes clarity, collaboration, and practical insight for clients and families. She brings particular expertise in connecting evaluation findings to real-world supports, drawing on her extensive background in special education.

Training and Background

Samantha is currently pursuing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Saybrook University, where she is also completing her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. She holds a Master of Education in Special Education from Antioch University Seattle and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology from Liberty University.

Her career in education spans more than a decade, including roles as a special education teacher with Seattle Public Schools and Lake Washington School District, an early intervention special educator with ChildStrive, and a special education advocate consultant. She also worked as an autism counselor with Ryther early in her career.

Samantha is a U.S. military veteran, having served as a Human Intelligence Collector in the U.S. Army. She is also a competitive Olympic weightlifter and 2025 World Champion with the International Masters Weightlifting Association, as well as a three-time USA Weightlifting National Champion. She was named a 2025 Emerging Leader by The Herald for Snohomish County.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Samantha balances her doctoral training with raising her son and staying active in the community.
