Frequently Asked

What ages do you evaluate?

OpenWorld is a lifespan clinic. Child evaluations are available from age 2 and up, depending on the assessment type. Adult evaluations are also available. Switch to the Adult tab above to explore those options.

How long does the process take from start to finish?

Most evaluations are completed within 3 to 6 weeks from intake to feedback. Autism evaluations may take 4 to 6 weeks. Your evaluator will give you a specific timeline during the initial consultation.

Will the evaluation plan be customized to my child?

Yes. Your evaluator will build a unique testing plan during the initial consultation based on your child's needs, concerns, and history. No two evaluations look the same.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept ComPsych with pre-approval for assessments. Insurance is not accepted for IQ or giftedness-only evaluations. We provide superbills for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Visit our billing page for more details.

What are the SLP and OT add-ons?

At our Everett, WA location, families can add a speech-language evaluation or occupational therapy consultation to any assessment. These are provided by our Neurobloom partners and offer deeper insight into communication, daily living skills, and sensory needs. Each is a flat $880.

How should I prepare my child for the evaluation?

Ensure a good night's sleep and a healthy meal beforehand. Bring comfort items, glasses, or hearing aids if needed. We recommend framing it positively: "We are going to find out how you learn best so we can find activities that are a great fit for you."

What happens if we need more than one type of evaluation?

Many families come to us with more than one question. Your evaluator builds a single, integrated plan that addresses everything without redundant testing. Select multiple areas above to see how it works, or start with a consultation and we will help you figure out the right approach.
