NFL Concussion Settlement Evaluations
At OpenWorld Psychology, we believe that understanding your cognitive health is the first step toward long-term wellness. We are honored to serve the retired player community in the Bay Area as an authorized provider for the NFL Concussion Settlement Baseline Assessment Program (BAP). Our neuropsychologist, Dr. Lupas, is available in our Santa Clara, CA office for evaluations in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
For many players, the idea of "testing" can feel daunting. Our goal is to provide a supportive, respectful, and private environment where you can complete your baseline evaluation with confidence.
What is the Baseline Assessment Program (BAP)?
The BAP is a resource designed to help you understand your current brain health. It establishes a "benchmark" for your cognitive functioning, specifically looking at memory, processing speed, and executive function. This evaluation is not just about finding deficits; it is about gathering data to help you and your medical team make informed decisions about your care.
What to Expect:
Your Provider: You will work directly with Dr. Garima Lupas, PhD, ABPP-CN. As a Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist with fellowship training from the VA system, Dr. Lupas has deep expertise in traumatic brain injury (TBI) and the unique needs of high-performance individuals.
The Environment: Our Santa Clara clinic offers a quiet, confidential space away from the hospital atmosphere.
Cost & Access: For eligible retired players, the cost of the BAP evaluation is covered fully by the Settlement Program.
