There are many reasons why people seek an ADHD evaluation, including:

Our evaluations are individualized to answer questions such as:

  • What strategies can help me improve focus, organization, and follow-through?

  • Are there other factors contributing to my attention difficulties?

FAQs


    • Initial Consultation: 50 minutes to gather more information and come up with a testing plan.

    • First Testing Appointment: Typically 2-3 hours to complete the clinical interview and testing.

    • Additional Testing (if needed): If your evaluation plan requires further sessions, they will be scheduled and explained during your initial appointment.

    • Overall Timeline: From start to finish (initial consultation, testing, report preparation, and feedback session), most evaluations are completed within 3–6 weeks.

  • You can expect a range of tasks during the evaluation, including:

    • Answering questionnaires about your symptoms and experiences

    • Completing computer-based tasks that measure attention, reaction time, and response control

    • Engaging in problem-solving, planning, and organizational tasks

    • Possibly completing additional tests related to memory, processing speed, or academic skills if needed for a complete picture

    • Complete Pre-Visit Forms: You will receive a link to our OpenWorld portal to complete required paperwork before your first appointment. You may also receive online questionnaires from “Q Global.”

    • Bring Relevant Records: If you have any prior testing, school records, or medical documentation, please bring them.

    • Rest and Eat: Get a good night's sleep and eat a meal beforehand so you are comfortable during testing.

    • Bring Glasses or Hearing Aids (if applicable): Ensure you have everything you need for optimal performance.

    • List Questions: Feel free to jot down any questions you would like to ask during your consultation or feedback session.

  • We offer ADHD evaluations at the following locations:

    • San Jose, CA: 2570 N First St., Suite 211

  • The evaluation cost typically ranges from $1,800 and up, depending on your specific evaluation plan.
    If a broader assessment is needed, we will discuss it with you before proceeding.
    Discounted options may be available through our training program at certain locations.

  • We accept ComPsych insurance with pre-approval.
    Otherwise, payment is accepted by credit card through our online portal.We also provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible partial reimbursement, though reimbursement is not guaranteed.

  • Your feedback session is designed to thoroughly review your results. You are always welcome to reach out afterward if new questions arise.

  • You are welcome to bring someone to your initial consultation if you feel it would be helpful. However, the testing session is completed individually.
