FAQs

  • We use nationally recognized, gold-standard measures of cognitive ability for adults, typically including:

    • Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale – Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV)

    Additional measures may be used if further clarification of learning styles or processing differences is desired.

  • Typically 1.5 - 2 hours is needed to complete the clinical interview and testing.

    • Complete Pre-Visit Forms: We will send you a link to our OpenWorld portal to complete forms about your history.

    • Rest and Nutrition: Get a good night's sleep and eat before your testing session.

    • Bring Essentials: Glasses, hearing aids, or other necessary accommodations.

    • Mindset: No studying or practice tests are necessary. The goal is to get an accurate picture of your natural thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • We offer adult IQ and giftedness evaluations at these locations:

    • Trainee Rate: $495 (available through our training program)
      Evaluations at this rate are conducted by advanced doctoral students under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.

    • Licensed Psychologist Rate: Higher rates may apply if you prefer to schedule directly with a postdoctoral clinician or licensed psychologist.

    Payment is processed securely through our online patient portal.
    We do not accept insurance for giftedness-only evaluations.
