Autism Evaluations for Adults

At OpenWorld Psychology, we offer comprehensive evaluations for adults seeking clarity about autism. Our neurodiversity-affirming assessments are designed to explore communication, social interaction, sensory processing, and related experiences that may impact daily life. Below, you’ll find information about the evaluation process, what to expect, and how to prepare. Check out our team or schedule a consultation.

Why Adults Seek an Autism Evaluation:

  • Lifelong experiences of feeling “different” or struggling to connect socially

  • Sensory sensitivities (e.g., to sounds, textures, lights) that affect comfort and functioning

  • Challenges in understanding social cues, small talk, or relationships

  • History of masking or “camouflaging” to fit in

  • Late recognition after a child or family member was diagnosed

  • Need for formal documentation for self-understanding, workplace accommodations, or therapy planning

Our evaluations are individualized to answer questions such as:

  • Do I meet criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?

  • How might autism be impacting my work, relationships, or mental health?

  • What strategies or supports would best help me thrive?
