At OpenWorld Psychology, we provide comprehensive learning evaluations to better understand your child’s academic skills, cognitive strengths, and areas where additional support may be helpful. Our evaluations are designed to answer real-world questions about school performance, learning styles, and intervention needs, offering tailored recommendations to help your child thrive.   • Review of Records: Analysis of prior school records, medical documents, and teacher feedback (if provided)

  • Detailed Psychological Report: Comprehensive written results and individualized recommendations

  • Feedback Session: A follow-up meeting to review findings, answer questions, and plan next steps

    • Initial Consultation: 50 minutes to gather more information and come up with a testing plan.

    • First Testing Appointment: Typically 2-3 hours to complete the clinical interview and testing.

    • Additional Testing (if needed): If your evaluation plan requires further sessions, they will be scheduled and explained during your initial appointment.

    • Overall Timeline: From start to finish (initial consultation, testing, report preparation, and feedback session), most evaluations are completed within 3–6 weeks.

    • Answering child-appropriate questionnaires (with parent input too)

    • Completing tasks on a computer that measure attention and self-control

    • Problem-solving and memory games

    • Academic activities like reading, writing, and math (if relevant)

    • Some play-based activities for younger children

  • Assessments are customized based on your child’s needs and may include:

    • Cognitive Testing: WISC-V (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children)

    • Academic Achievement Testing: WIAT-4 (Wechsler Individual Achievement Test)

    • Attention and Executive Functioning Tests: CPT-3, CATA, DKEFS, NEPSY-II

    • Behavior and Emotional Questionnaires: BASC-3, Conners-3, parent and teacher reports

    Testing is thoughtfully selected after your intake consultation to ensure it fits your child’s unique profile.

    • Complete Pre-Visit Forms: We will send you a link to our OpenWorld portal to complete forms about your child’s history.

    • Bring School Records: Report cards, teacher notes, or any past testing results can be helpful.

    • Rest and Eat: Make sure your child gets a good night's sleep and a healthy meal before testing.

    • Bring Glasses, Hearing Aids, or Comfort Items: Anything your child needs to feel comfortable and do their best.

  • We offer educational evaluations at the following locations:

    • Evaluations start at $1,800 and may increase depending on the complexity of the assessment.

    • Final pricing will be discussed before testing begins. No additional services will be added without your consent.

    Payment can be made by Zelle QuickPay, credit card, or check.
    We do not accept insurance directly but can provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

  • We accept ComPsych insurance with pre-approval.
    Otherwise, payment is accepted by credit card through our online portal.We also provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible partial reimbursement, though reimbursement is not guaranteed.

  • Your feedback session is designed to thoroughly review your child’s results. You are always welcome to reach out afterward if new questions arise.

  • Parents will be asked to provide information during the intake session.
    During the testing session, children typically complete tasks one-on-one with the evaluator, but we will work with you to make sure your child feels comfortable throughout.
