Tasha Macklin, PhD

I am Dr. Tasha and I have a passion for working with individuals and families to improve not only the situation or circumstance that has prompted you to seek assistance, but to also improve your relationships (with self and others) to create an environment for your life to thrive. Professionally, I have a collective experience of over two decades of working with individuals and families in education, child and family protection and now mental health. In mental health, my background includes working one on one in a therapeutic environment with young children, adolescents, young adults and adults. My services range in diversity to include evidence-based treatment for a variety of mental health concerns including but not limited to mood disorders, attention disorders, relationship issues, developmental disorders, and personality disturbances.

Additionally, my professional experience also includes the administration of hundreds of psychometric evaluations to provide diagnostic clarification and therapeutic recommendations. As a clinician I am person-centered and eclectic. This allows me to be flexible in my approach to therapy so that I can utilize the most effective methods available to meet your individual needs. My goal is to work with you to improve your quality of life through understanding and gaining control over your inner and outer world. My therapeutic style is solution focused and strengths based, utilizing interventions from motivational interviewing, internal family systems, cognitive- behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and psychodynamic therapies.

I look forward to chatting with you to see if I can help you on your journey!
